3 new out of the boxes, all 3 will not accept an address book entry. You can enter all the info and touch apply, but it just reverts back to the entry screen, and shows nothing in the registered list. Scan to email is set up and allowed. Trying to program fax or SMB one touches has the same result. But, to add a little bit of mystery, if you look at the address books with Page Scope Data Admin (after a get info) the one touches show up. Anyone run into this? Emujo

Update...
Had tech go to Admin > Security > Security Details > Initialize > All.
Had the tech go to service mode > system 1 > Initialize Server Cache Data

Problem resolved..Hope this helps someone else. Emujo

Just a HDD format will also do the trick... Great bugs in these machines...

Had a similar problem, installed a brand new mc into a customer, tried to put it on the network but wouldn't hold the ip address customer wanted, tried pinging mfd straight from laptop with varying results, sometimes would ping fine, then ping but say Destination host unreachable, and next time couldn't ping at all,to cut a long story short we ordered another machine and installed that, but same issue occured.
At this point we updated the firmware and retried but still no good,we thought it odd that 2 machines would show the same problems so presumed it may be something to do with the customers network,in the meantime we bought the original failure back to the office and tried things in this order
Update firmware still no good
Format HDD still no good
Admin > Security > Security Details > Initialize > All still no good
service mode > system 1 > Initialize Server Cache Data after this the MFD worked as should,i am going back to the customer tomorrow to try this on the machine that is still there and causing problems, and will report back my findings.
But from now on we will be doing all of the above as soon as unboxing and setting up.
Previously we have installed many of these machines and none have caused this issue so far
