Has anybody tried this? We have a group of Di5510/7210s that we would like to use as fire came machines, but the developer has been discontinued and is no longer available from Konica. I know that the dev units are not compatible with eachother, but what about the developer itself?

They are different. 5510 take Mt 604 and the 600 takes dv710

Yes i think you can use Dv710 you have nothing to loose. The 7210 engine is very similar. I check the toner conposition on the side of the OEM toners if that match the chance that you can use the develop in the diverent machines are good. The wieght of the developer could be diverent. I have used DV-511 in a b601 without problems the yield is cut in half if you only add one bag. Same with a DV-710 in a B501 but you must check the amount you add.

i would not recomed doing this. Did this because there was no other option at the time.

I am about to try a di510 dev unit in a di7210, according to the "differences to former products.pdf" another konica tech posted they should work.
