I have a C364e with a DF-701. When you lift up the cover and close it says original size detection but there is no original. I have tried it on other copiers and it just goes ready to copy. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Find the setup instructions for the doc feeder and re-do them. You may also need to adjust the heigth of the front edge a little higher than stated as well.And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right! -

take the glass out & clean it both sides, have had a couple do this, the last one all i did was wipe my hand briefly across the glass......some i've had to clean a few timesTip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...Comment

also make absolutely certain the white backing sheet on the adf is absolutely spotless in the detection area.
a single speck of filth will cause this in the right place.Comment

Make sure the magnet on the DF lines up with the reed switch under the front cover of the scanned bed.Comment

As stated clean the under side of the glass and clean the size sensors. Common problem with these machinesComment
