Hi All,
Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere.
I know I need to clean my dev tanks, but I can't find a procedure to clean them safely. I am concerned about damage.
Can someone please assist with instructions.
Cheers!
SA

Hi, fellow Aussie.
I am not really sure what you mean by "clean the dev tanks". Do you mean empty for a dev change? or are they contaminated?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
The dev tanks are contaminated according to the troubleshooting guide I have.
It says I need to clean them but does not say how. The procedure does not appear to be covered in the field service manual.
Cheers SA.

What exactly is the problem?
Can you post a sample?

Sure I can, but in the mean time, can you advise the procedure. I've already done the diagnosis.
The dev tanks are out and waiting already.
Cheers.

I would just drain the dev as you would in a "normal" pm. If you must go further, remove the ATDC sensor. Then hit it with "controlled" compressed air.
They are supposed to be replaced at 600k anyway.
