We've gotten past the SSD toolkit, but we're not getting any better.

We're going on to calls constantly, sometimes immediately after we install them. Odd problems, locking up, slow printing, sleep mode issues. We're doing total Initialization and HDD Formats.

Last firmware fixed over 130 bugs. We'll see.

But i will admit, mechanically, these machines are pretty damn flawless

I'm not having too many issues with them anymore. I only had my first SSD failure last week too.

There are indeed the odd issue that is resolved by an initialisation and re-setup, ie, account track not accepting account codes after a certain period of time, web page not being accessible and or dropping off the network completely. It all still happens with the latest firmware too, hopefully one day it will all be fixed, probably around the same time the next generation machine is released with a whole pile of new bugs ;)

The G00-G9 firmware has solved some of these sleep mode issues for us. I still have one stubborn machine that is waiting on the new SSD, and won't take firmware. =^..^=

The ssd replacements have been many for us. They have trickled down a little to maybe one or two a month. Haven't seen too many of the other anomolies mentioned. I will say though with G9 firmware there is an issue with Papercut not being able to connect properly with the device to install the embedded interface. I brought this up with Papercut support and it was the first the support specialist heard of it. This was the day after G9 came out. I had to downgrade several devices during a Papercut/MFP install.

They seem to be getting better and better with the new firmware updates, but I still have an interesting one (might make a new thread for this problem):

If a user prints from IE9 and the printer is a) on a print server b) using the PS driver and c) utilizes Account Track, the job fails as if there is no account information. I, along with KM, have been able to replicate the problem. It doesn't seem to matter which firmware or driver version we use. I know for a fact that upgrading IE, using Firefox/Chrome, and switching to the PCL driver all work. Unfortunately, I have a certain customer that none of these are an option for the time being.

Has anyone else seen this? Are you aware of any other fixes?
