Hello,

I moved a Konica Minolta BizHub C353. Well, the printer got to the new location, but we are getting a C-1183 error message and our top side tray was broken off. I have attached pictures.

Is there a way to bypass this error message. I checked the trays for mysterious jams, removed all the trays and old paper.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

If you don't have an exit tray on the finisher, you will get an 1183 code. The tray is what activates the elevator home sensors.

Yeah. It looks to me like the tray was just removed and not reinstalled after the move. You'll need to manually run the motor down a little, and re-install the tray.

This is normal practice for moving a machine. These trays can get broken easily if left attached while moving. =^..^=

Thanks.....ITS FIXED. I had to jewelry rig the broken tray, but got it back on and restarted it. I also had to tighten up some screws. It took a little beating when it was moved.

It may be possible to get a used or new tray. You should buy it now, because this machine will be considered obsolete very soon. Check with your local dealer. =^..^=

I have a C451 with finisher that sits over near the dispatcher next to a doorway that threw this code on me....couldn't figure it out at first so I set up another C451 we had in shop to kinda get an idea how the finisher raises and such...turned it on without the trays and threw same code...that's when it dawned on me it was the trays lol....seems our sales people coming thru the door way to get print jobs and such knocked the tray loose and caused it to code out....then yesterday another C451 in our printshop girl down there asking me what is causing this C 1183 code....I told her it was the tray she was holding in her hand lol
