hello people..

I have a KM biz 1052. that sometimes ,in a print cicle the imagem "shifts" for the side about 5 or 6 mm..

In a run of 200 ~300 prints we may find 5 ,10 or 15 prints with a decentring...
-Mechanically it seems everithing is well...
-I have already replaced the centering sensor in the registration section..

thanks

Hi,
This is usually caused by the paper in the tray not loaded correctly (side guides are not set to the paper correctly). This causes the paper to not convey through the centre of the machine. The centering sensor cannot compensate if the paper is too far forward or back.
I suggest you enable "Gap Detection Jam Setting". This will cause the paper to stop at the registration section if the centering sensor cannot detect the edge within tolerance. It will cause a jam but you wont get the mis-centering on the outputted sheets. This is found in 05 Admin Settings - 06 Expert Adj. - 03 Gap Detection Jam Setting
another cause is using pre-printed stock with a dark edge printed on the sheet. The centering sensor cannot detect the edge of the sheet correctly. The only way to get this to work is to disable centering corrction in the paper setting menu of the tray.
Hope this helps.
