Hi!
Can someone help me how to scan to SMB or FTP on Ubuntu 14.04? We use a network connected Konica Minolta bizhub 283. On Windows we use FTPutility. Is there an easy way to setup this? I have enabled SAMBA share folder in /home/user/Public. Is it possible to install FTP server on my Ubuntu mashine and than to scan to that FTP?

Thank you in advance!

SMB should be easier than all that jazz. just share with all permission, get IP or hostname same as windows. only difference is linux is case senstive

If you continue to have issues, I suggest installing a previous version.

I am not a fan of 14.04...

I chmoded the /home/my_user/Public folder 777. Configured bizhub283 to use SMB and I always get an error "no folder specified"

Ok, finally I managed to make it work on Ubuntu via SMB :) This error "no folder specified" was a hint. Before, Konica Minolta was configured to scan to root of SAMBA share or FTP like on Windows.

I just created in Public shared folder one more folder named scan with write and read permisions for guests and entered in Konica Minolta configuration web site in File Path just word scan for that folder. What is more better, it works with host name, no need for IP address.

Thank you for SAMBA proposal. Next step, finding a driver for bizhub283 with duplex printing.
