BH-C-253 showing occasionally service code C-3723. After reset it works for a few days and than codes out again. What do you guys suggest to do first, replacing the fuser unit or replacing the Printer Control Board and/or the DC-Power Unit?

Any hints based on your experience please?

have a look in service mode state confirmation, level history1 and see how hot the fuser is running at, from memory it's around 170 but I think it's best to check on another machine first. I'll check when I'm with one. You can adjust the temp in service mode, machine, fusing temp. Have a look there and see if it's been change. One last thing which I don't think it will be as it works for a while is take the fuser out and have a look if there's anything in there which is getting hot, like I say I dont think it will be that.
Is the machine in a hot environment?

C3723: Fusing abnormally high temperature detection

1 Check the fusing unit for correct installation (whether it is secured in position).
2 Check the open/close operation of the upper right door.
3 Check the fusing unit, PRCB and DCPU for proper connection and correct or change as necessary.
4 Change fusing unit
5 Change PRCB
6 Change DCPU

Thanks Allen, but here in Germany we have an extreme stable power grid. In the past decades I had no single power related issue.

Hmm check the fuser connector wire harness (blue) fuser into coupling ( yellow) pwb had it once being split. From the machine side of the coupling.
Have you got any 2nd hand fusers to try? It might be simply the fuser it self.

I had the same problem twice and it was the DCPU .

I replaced the fusing unit with the one from my own office machine. Have one DCPU ready in my car now. Thanks guys.
