Registration off 2/16 inch from top to bottom
of page, (crooked). Happens on all trays and
when your copying, printing or in service mode.
Installed new reg. assembly and removed and
inspected scanner unit.

Appreciate any help.
Thanks

So have you determined yet whether it's a paper skew or an optical skew? =^..^=

Not a paper skew, paper straight at reg roller.
Not optic's, happens when printing and service mode.
Thinking scanner adjustment or something....

I'm going to disagree with your conclusion. Prints and services reports skewing indicated a paper skew or laser unit skew adjustment, not scanner. How could the scanner affect a print? It just can't.

Another way to confirm a paper skew is to create a line in your image, and measure from the line to the edge of the paper at the lead and at the trail. There are several non-destructive ways to create a line:
1) you can put a piece of tape on the primary charge unit
2) you can put a piece of tape on the transfer separation assembly
3) you can block the optical path from the laser with a piece of tape.

I think that is what I would do next.

Before you start fixing, it's a good idea to confirm exactly what you're fixing. =^..^=

Thanks for reply Cat, ya I meant laser unit, but KB calls it "The writing unit" ?
Solution: The laser unit is mounted on metal plate which is adjustable on one side. Just moved it up a hair and that did it..
We buy a lot of machines from leasing companies that bang the sh*t out of them.

Again thanks.
