Anyone run into this? I replaced the HDD and the customer called back 3 days later with the same issue. If they power cycle the machine resumes scan function again.

C35 which uses the same scanner also has this bug when compact PDF is used and there is a dirty background on the originals. Special firmware illiminates the problem.

I have not checked for the B36/42 as they are an exceptionally rare machine in my part of the world.

Yes I did more than one for diverent errors consirning hhd errors and scaning problems there is a firmare fix for that. For errors on ftp scan you can swith of compact pdf and it will work without the error. Also smtp scan gives an error from the server. Give me a minute and I will get the bullitin about that

I replaced the MFP board for this issue. Had an open ticket with Konica, got it under warranty and it worked.

Thanks for the responses. I will download and try the FW first.

Check to make sure the customer isn't storing their personal files on the hard drive, if it is shared on their network. ;) Hmmm what to do with 300 Gig...

Then again... I think the HD capacity is something like 250 GB, so that is rather silly. But I guess it is pertinent to make sure they are not storing personal files...
