I have a case where my customer is printing loads of 3 page letters submitted one by one. So the machine would stop after every job and start again. in this state the TCR level on the black is dropping below 4% and gives me C2557. If you then run half tones it works fine and the TCR level returns to normal even after say a hundred prints. After only about 20 letters at less than 5% coverage the dreaded C2557 would return.
Has anybody experienced this before or is there a common problem with toner feeding into the tank? The bottle rotation is fine and the sub hopper fills up with no problem. I even ran the machine without the waste box for a while to see if the gear on the spiral rotates and it does but maybe not enough.
