Hi

I have Konica Minolta C6500 with IC408 Controller.

After switching on and printing test page, controller shuts down itself. Controller goes to 91 and then shuts down.

Tried software 2.0, 3.0, 1.0, 1.1, but still no luck.

Can anybody advice, what it is and how can this be solved, any patch file or anything else. I am out of ideas.

Is the controller software for the right manufacture? Shut down will happen if you try and load KM software on an Ikon box and same in reverse. It takes place after the OS loads and the Fiery SW starts. Approx 2 mins or so.

Hi,
code 91 means the Fiery system has not updated.
I would suggest the main culprit may be the HDD.
I have attached the IC-408 service guide which may assist.
Good Luck

Hi,
In that case I think Rai's suggestion is more than likely.
Was this working previously? Check that you have the correct fiery system software for the IC-408.
My thinking is the IC-408 now has screwed bias and sees the fiery system for a different manafacturer.
The only way to recover this unfortunately is a mother board replacement (a very expensive option though)

hope this helps.

Probably I can help you.

Just make backup of BIOS from your controller, and send this backup file to me. Controller BIOS is Phoenix - Award BIOS (cooperation), so you should be able to use most of available tools for Award BIOS like awdflash - tools and tutorials from this site can be helpful: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thr...shing-From-DOS (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/8909-Make-A-bootable-USb-drive-For-Flashing-From-DOS)

Hi guys,
Can anyone help me with the system software for IC-408. I have a C6500 and the controller went to FF yesterday and doesn't want to come back :)
Unfortunately I don't have the CD
Thank you

Microsoft does not provide more system updates WinXP.
The controller executes the search for updates, find some, but not run. It may be the cause.
There came across system restarts, but I had problems with it.

That's completely beside the point.

You are describing known problem with working Fiery system, that can be usually solved by installation 1-1CO771 patch.

Subject of this thread is related to hardware/software problem (before stage of working Fiery system) - it's probably 2nd hand ICON controller and guy's trying to install Minolta software.

Its also a hijacked post with a new guy asking about FF Code....

FF Possibly one of the following:
• Corrupted BIOS settings on the
motherboard
• Corrupted system software
• Missing or faulty DIMM(s)
• Faulty CPU and/or CPU cooling
assembly
• Faulty HDD or HDD
connection
• Faulty service board and/or
motherboard
• CPU missing or faulty
1. Make sure the Fiery X3eTY2 service switches are set to Normal
mode (away from “ON”).
2. Make sure the service board cable is properly connected to the
service board and motherboard.
3. Clear the CMOS and power-up settings (see page 94).
4. Reinstall system software.
5. Check the DIMM(s) and reseat them to remove any oxidation on the
connectors. Make sure the DIMM(s) are installed in the correct
slot(s).
NOTE: If a single DIMM is installed, it must be installed in the
DIMM2 slot.
6. If you have two DIMMs installed, determine if a DIMM
is at fault:
Remove the DIMM currently installed in socket DIMM1, and
reboot the system. Reboot again with the other DIMM installed in
DIMM2. If the problem is solved by one of the DIMMs, replace
the other DIMM.
If the problem persists for both DIMMs, proceed to the next step.
7. Reseat the power and data cables to the HDD. Make sure the data
cable is connected to the proper connector on the motherboard.
8. Try the following in the listed order:
– Check and reseat the CPU cooling assembly. Then clear the CMOS
and power-up settings.
– Replace the CPU cooling assembly.
– Replace the CPU. Then clear the CMOS and power-up settings.
9. Try the following in the listed order:
– Replace the HDD data cable.
– Replace the HDD.
10. Replace the service board and service board cable.
11. Replace the motherboard.

Also, replace that bs thermal tape they put on the cpu with a quality thermal paste ;)
You can hook up a CDROM and run memtest86 to check memory and you can get a program like spinrite to check the HDD and I think the BIOS will report the CPU/MB temps.
