Hey,everyone..

Had this one customer complaining at the color differences printed from konicaminolta BH364e, their corporate color is purple. When printed from the copier, the output was like maroon...
Currently, we had them using PS driver printing JPEG format... had also try to calibrate the color setting but without any succeed.

And to purchase a IC-414 is very costly...

Any help is highly appreciated....

There is a techical bulletin about troubleshooting color issues on this series. You should look it up as it has some good info there.

Try printing by setting the quality to DTP this seems to help quite a bit.

had a similar problem. The overall colours were too dark. I installed PCL6 driver and problem was resolved. The Postscript driver seems to want to add too much detail which causes darker prints. Methinks Konica have made a boo--boo with the colour profile.

Check the color profile used for printing. If it was a mac and the colors were out its probable set to a CMYK profile instead of RGBs.

The bulletin I mentioned is 9222.

It is known that Postscript on this model will be less saturated and have less contrast than it would on other models like the non E series C364. This was done by default.

Under expert adjustment then PS Designer settings you can turn this on. By default it is set to no which tries to match PS to PCL. Then you have to reboot the copier and now the PS output will have a different appearence in files that are photos or have high color saturation. This will not effect PCL.
