HI,
I have Konica Minolta Bizhub C 550 ( 3 machines ),and on B/W print on PLAIN paper there is a shadow on letters (especially on BOLD ones ).
If the print is set to thick 3 there is no shadow. On one of the C550 i change the second transfer roller,3 days the machine was fine, but now is the same situation (again shadow).
Can anybody HELP me.

Do you have the comb modification above transfer roller(very thick mylar comb)

How old is the transfer belt?

Have you played with 2nd transfer settings?

The image transfer belt is NEW ( 1000 pages),and yes i've played with 2nd transfer settings(nothing yet).
When i print the counter list the first page is OK but the second side is bad( on A3 paper first half of the page is good ,but the second half is shadowy ).
All these things is on plane paper, when the tick is 2,3 the page is ok.
the machine is in another town,so i don't now about comb modification above the transfer roller (is the modification on the roller or on the machine?)

i think when i change the transfer belt ,the problem started.

Regards the modification this is what you need see photo.

Have you checked for any damage on 1st transfer rollers as the holders sometimes crack or snap and cause issues.

Other thing that came to mind is, try skew reset and see if it improves.

Um, I don't work on these, but is there any chance this could be a defective aftermarket toner problem?
The clue for me was the changing of the paper thickness setting to fix the problem. I've used that to temporarily take care of some cold offsetting print defects caused by that issue.
I've also seen something like this caused by plain paper that wasn't as plain as expected. But that's pretty unusual.
For what it is worth, it might not hurt to see if the fuser is in good shape too.

What is the Black TCR reading? Shot developer would cause this. And bad toner with the wrong charge characteristics. As the TCR value drops before replenishing the print could look ok and after replenishing the prints could be smudged. Try to look at the developed latent image on the drum and transfer belt. Also look for P-codes.

A00H 7033 00 GUIDE PLATE, Get someone to verify this.
This is the metal guide if it comes with the mylar i don't know. It seems that there are other seals on it as well.
If its a modification then you need that part number.

Guide Sheet part number : A00H703400.

Hope this helps.
