E series Factory out of the box default

Trying to remember.

I need to turn a C654e to out of the box state.

Does a Total Clear in Initialization do this. I know it unsets the HDD after. Or do I also need to do a logical HDD format too.

I'm pretty sure doing a Data clear will revert this back to an "out of the box" state. After, you will have to set it up using the installation instructions.

Thanks. That is what is seems like after looking at the vague info in service manual.
