I have a problem with this printer....after turning on he has a message "Phone Line Disconnected" and the fax button is on....when i try to press another button,for example copy,i can hear only a bip.If i try to push another button i only get bip....how can i fix this?

this might be a dumb sounding question, but:
is the phone line connected?
is the phone line a known good line?
machine type is 7003-XXXLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!". -
Phone Line Disconnected !!!
1- Reconnect the phone line if needed
2- Check the phone line connection

....the printer is type 7003-100...the problem is not with the line...the printer does not have to be connected to a line to work...this printer is blocking after finishing self test....he is turning on fax automatically(the fax button is turning on automatically instead of copy) and he is showing the "phone connn..." message on screen....none of the buttons doesn't respond exept the stop button .....but,when i press it nothing happends....that is the problem....i can't get in the menu or do anything with the printer...any sugestion????
