is there a way to reset "replace developing unit (any)" message w/o replacing the unit(s)???

Not sure if I'm not getting any replies because of copier or the way I posted. Copier is calling for black image unit to be replaced; can't use copier; copier is my own personal copier at my house; really don't want to put a lot of money into this copier; is there a way to cancel the message. I went through various settings that I thought might work with no luck. I did see there is a device to reset the chip which looks like the drum unit; is the image unit the drum with developer couldn't tell from you tube video.
