Hi guys.

So i seem to have a problem with disintegrating insulation sleeves. I replaced a set about 400K back and it was ok then missing just heaps of of graphite like powder.

So i F#&^ up. I did check the parts manual to check if there it no missing spacers and that the assembly is complete before i replaced the bearings and the sleeves.

Any body seen this?

Both my PRESS 1052's have 2.75M and the original collars are holding up fine. When you replace the collars this time, I would recommend that you set the fixing pressure for each of the trays to light pressure. On my machines there is very adequate fixing with less paper curl, and potentially less fatigue on fixing drive components. =^..^=

Thanks BC.

I did set the trays to "weak" i hope that helps because i can't see anything wrong with the assy.

It needs a special kind of heat grease for those sleeves. Missed the note in the manual.

uh oh.... I've got a couple 1250's and I've never lubed the sleeves. Looking into that now.

Look for the note on the PM procedure.

Multemp FF-RM, is there a Konica Minolta part number for that so I can have my parts guy get it? Or, is it just a generic, over the counter sort of thing? I checked the parts manual and the consumables guide and didn't find anything.

A little googling turned up 00GR00260, I'll see if my parts guy can get that.

I can seem to get the grease in South-Africa. Any alternatives that should work. i am still getting broken bushings on one of the machines.
The pressure adjustment works well on one machine, so not sure why they are not lasting.
