Anyone have a fix for this? I have already initialized the fax unit and still get the code randomly.

BH224E manual says check recipient, check paper tray or memory. Customer gets the error when faxing to several different numbers though.

do you have any way of testing the transmission level over there ?

Here we can send a test fax to our local carrier and get a report back and adjust accordingly, when it actually works..

Not that I know of. Phone companies here tend to be a pain to work with.
