    MFC-9330 constant rear jams

    Hello everywon

was called out because the machine was overheating (going into cool-down recovery mode) & jamming, it has done 1778 prints

i updated the firmware, removed the fuser unit, checked it (perfect condition) and cleaned the fuser exit sensor & resoldered the exit sensor board

the machine recognises when the back is open, so the sensor is working, but when i print/copy the page gets to the fuser exit sensor and calls a jam instantly the paper moves the flag (90% of the time it jams), image registration is perfect whether or not it calls a jam, so i know the sensor is working and the paper is not delayed

this jamming occurred both before and after firmware update

anyone seen this problem before? where do i go from here? a new exit sensor board?

any assistance would be very much appreciated

There is a maintenance program for sensor checking. Already tried? I would reset the machine first in maintenance mode with 01. And try out for testing the paper from bypass tray.

replace the exit sensor board I haven't had any luck soldering the leads on the red connector at all and I was DOD certified on thru hole soldering
