I will help you with your machine and make you feel good doing it.

1st, take machine to nearest dumpster

2nd, as you are throwing machine into dumpster yell as loud as you can "I HATE BROTHER" !!!

There you go as promised all fixed. I gurantee you will feel so much better after this.

Seriously, since you didn't mention the model # not sure if you had an all in one, stand alone fax or printer? Think that 50 code is same as HP and something with the fuser. Not worth repairing if it is fuser. Fuser probably cost more then machine.

Here is some more free advice:

Replace an all in one with a Kon/Min or Canon

    Printer only, Kyocera or Ricoh

    Fax only, Canon

Don't get tricked into the Brother game of separate drums & toners. You want a unit that toner & drum are together in one cartridge.

    * By the way fellow techs just kidding about troublemakers.
By the way does brother count with providing tech support. Thought this site was only for "real" office equipment

why would you want a toner/drum unit that doesn't separate? so that if the toner runs out then you have to replace the drum that doesn't need replacing? or vice versa?

HP has been doing that for years.
