MFC 9970CDW Paper Eject assembly replacement

I was wondering if anyone has experience replacing this paper eject ass'y. My first biggest challenge is getting the covers off but moreover, does this replacement require the removal of the scanner ass'y and then go down through the top?

Any guidance will be most appreciated.

Yes it involves ADF and document scanner removal. It's big job and you will need manual and plenty of space.
