MFC 7860DW - Wrong model after replacement of logic board

    Dear technicians,

we changed the logical board from a Brother MFC 7860DW. Because it was defective.

Now the computer is showing the model 7040D when I plug the USB cable from printer to the computer.

How could I change the modell from the machine in the MAINTENANCE MODE?
Is this possible or we got the wrong board? But the new board looks like the old one with the same connectors.

I hope somebody can help me.

    Regards, Paul

Did you follow procedure in service manual after board replacement?

You need manual plus several tools. It's not that easy. Btw did you transfer wifi board to new main board.

We didn't transfer the wifi board because the customer want to use the printer with USB.
    He doesn't use wifi.
