... I do not have the letter you are looking for. In Canada, Toshiba feels the availability of inventory is better than most competitors but supply chain issues will likely last until summer 2022.

Due to large increases in the cost of importing goods into North America, prices increased by 5% for all hardware products on Oct 18 2022. Neither toner nor parts increased in cost. Toner availability has never been a problem as the majority is manufactured in South Dakota.

Empty container box rates into which boxed copiers are loaded remain at record highs.

The two major US ports of Long Beach and LA, of which 40% of the countries containers pass through, are still backlogged with over 100 ships offshore waiting to be unloaded many not until Jan 2022.

Toshiba like every other print OEM, ships the large majority of its products from China to North America via containers. These containers are heavily backlogged due to port congestion.

This combined with new COVID rules in China regarding crew changes means that the smooth supply of product is unlikely to look somewhat normal not before summer 2022.

Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Lexmark, Sharp all have the same inventory issues. This has created an explosion in demand for quality used Toshiba copiers with a resulting increase in prices. Toshiba dealers are not sending back their lease expires to used equipment brokers opting to exercise their first right of refusal and buying the product themselves.

Stormy weather still has a big negative impact on the delivery of containers.
