    MF8540CDN unable to open RUI

    Hi,

    I wonder if someone can help.

    This desktop Canon stopped scanning to email it can print fine however I’m unable to open to RUI to check settings etc the page just fails to load, tried chrome & ie.

    I connected a laptop directly with the same results.

    Tried initialising network settings, remote access is set on.

    With DHCP on the machine pulls all the correct settings.

    It also fails to accept a FW update.

    any sugestions!?

    Can you print report to check correct network settings? Can you print at all? Any errors in history?
    Did you try with static ip?
    Enable HTTP communication?

    Like I said above the machine will print fine, printing a configpage will show it has pulled the correct setting via DHCP.

    I connected my laptop directly with a crossovercable using a static IP but the same issue cant open the RUI.
