Firstly you need to fit the correct HDD, just any hard drive wont work.

We have the firmware on our site below.

replaced the new hdd but no firmware update
Did u have an ERROR CODE

explain above u have no firmware / or update failed

HDD needs to be Formatted with SST/or USB--- iRAdvanced 6255 Firmware

The part numbers for the Hard Disk Drive for this series machine have been updated (2015).
The new numbers are as follows:

    FK2-9008-000 = iRA 6055 / 6065 / 6075
    FK4-1550-000 = iRA 6275 / 6265 / 6255
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6055 / 6065 / 6075 / 6255 / 6265 / 6275 / 8085 / 8095 / 8105 / 8285 / 8295 / 8205
    HD Format Error
When trying to format the Hard Drive by holding 2 & 8 down OR single mode through SST, you get an "ERROR" message when executed.

The HD format script resides on the Flash Rom of the machine and can become corrupted. The machine didn't have an error code and would boot up, but would not allow firmware to load because HD Format Error would error. Obtained a new, blank Flash ROM PCB from Hardware Engineering to resolve the issue.

Procedure to install USB System Software to a USB Flash Drive

    1. Download "USB" System Software for the iR-ADV C6275 Series for example:
    iA6275_v18.02.01.zip”

    2. Open the “USB_iA6275_v18.02.01” folder and place the “iA6275” Folder and “All HDFormat” files
    onto your USB Flash Drive.

    3. Done

    USB Flash Drive:
Flashing the System Software by use of a USB Flash Drive is supported.
SERVICE MODE > COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > DOWNLOAD

    Select Format first
    then ALL

did you READ the whole thread? firmware is not all that you need..

have you checked the HDD in service mode to make sure it is a viable unit?

    have you reformatted the HDD?

bet you didn't even backup any NVRAM!

    get the manual

    RTFM!!!
