    Grinding noise on ir3045

    the noise seems to come from behind of developer unit, The developer unite spins smoothly,

    If it’s constant I would be looking at the main drive assembly. Possibly one of the clutches. Assuming you’ve checked the drum

    you can run a motor test and check which motor is causing the noise

    Copier->Function->Install->TONER-S in service mode also makes the same noise

    looks like a gear in the hopper unit. take the dev unit out and vacuum the pipe where the toner comes into the dev unit. if that doesn't fix it then replace the hopper

    i vacuumed inside the machine but the sound is still there

    Did you take out the hopper? The time dropping to 119 so quick means the DV has enough toner. Have you put in a different drum unit just to rule that out? It’s easier than removing the hopper but it sounds like your hopper making the noise.
