Re: Canon IR Advance 8295 E00069-0001
What direction is the blank-image issue ?
front side (operator Side) or Rear side
lead edge or trail edge
Intermittently a portion of an image on a copy or print will be blank. The demarcation between the image and blank area is not faded out but is a complete blank area. ( See Image Below for example)
Solution :
Intermittent blank image areas on copies or prints was caused by an excessive build up of metal filings on the Thermal Switch in the fuser assembly. The metal filings could cause a short or load on the supply voltage to the thermal switch.
Cleaning or replacing the Thermal Switch and all surrounding areas of the fuser resolved the problem.
