    Canon Dr-g1100 scanner color

I have a canon dr-g1100 scanner that works perfectly except it will occasionally show a scanned page with a pink background even though the pages are all white. Is there some calibration i can do with the drunification tool to correct this? What do i need to perfeom the calibration. Thanks!

    1) have you cleaned both glass on each side? ( perfeom = perform )

    2) drunification WTF is this supposed to be?

    3) service manual would have all the steps you need.

    4) any manual requests, per forum rules are to be posted in the following forum:

    5) are you a trained Canon tech or just end user?

    1) yes glass cleaned on both side

    2) dunification is the service program that lets you calibrate and do other low level operations on the scanner - i dont want to do something that will completely mess up the calibration

    3) I dont have a service manual

    4) thanks

    5) end user, not a tech

    thanks!

    Re: Canon Dr-g1100 scanner color

Try looking at service-manual.net for the manual for that scanner.
But try a good cleaning first. Use a bright flashlight when cleaning the mirrors.
Sometimes there is a film on the mirrors. By the way, the shiny side is the side used
so be careful not to scratch the mirror. Use an old soft tee shirt or glasses cleaning cloth,
they are usually micro fiber or flannel. I prefer the tee shirt or cotton ball.
You can use 99% alcohol. The IPA has mineral oil in it and will smear.
After the alcohol I usually use a very lightly damp tee shirt to clean the alcohol off.

    Good luck

    DR
