Wondering if anyone has had problems with the OEM drum units prematurely throwing the waste toner, change drum message. Drum unit clicks and the housing container is close to empty. Usually I have to put in another drum unit. This happens on probably half the drum units and I probably get 5-8k out of them when they go prematurely. Nothing on the knowledgebase. TIA

you should check in the polarization contacts of the drum that does not make good contact. Try here:

You will always get this issue with non OEM toner or if the printer is in a high temp/humidity environment

No error codes. Just clicking and a waste toner message. Copies are fine.

Are you clearing counters?

No never explored any counters on this model since it came out other than total count. It's mechanical. Waste toner drive is binding
