Yeah tried that also, but still.. i brought a whole new developing and drum from another machine including everything same model..( i mean includes the case of devs and drums 4) but the weird thing is the gap still there.. but the washout side is gone because already cleaned the laser from inside.

    Re: Canon c5030i magenta problem

Like I mentioned earlier, I had the same problem with an IR C5255 copier a few years ago. The handling was to re-seat the drum and make sure it was physically straight in its place. But it sounds like you've done that many times over and still no luck.

I've never messed with the following service mode settings, but maybe you've got nothing to lose at this point.

I'm looking in a service manual of a slightly later model but might be the same for your copier:

COPIER > ADJUST > IMG-REG > REG-H-M (To adjust the write start position of M-color image in the horizontal scanning direction in increments of 1 pixel.) and REG-V-M.

Also maybe COPIER > FUNCTION > LASER > LD-ADJ-M. (When M-color skew volume in vertical direction is larger than estimation, the Skew Correction Motor (M) is locked, and color displacement cannot be corrected even when color displacement correction control is executed. This item places the Skew Correction Motor (M) to the center position in such cases.

Again, I've never messed with these so don't take my word for it. I'm not recommending you do this unless you study up on it and decide to do it. But this may be a tip that ends up helping you.

    Good luck.
    Bret

You can solve GAP between every color by run Setting/registration-Maintenance-Adjust Color Mismatch

    To Solve This Issue:
    Turn the Machine Off
    Reseat Laser Unit
    Clean Patch Sensor
    Reseat Developer and Drum Units
    Run "Auto Correct Color Mismatch"
