    Canon c5030i magenta problem

    Good morning!

Just wonder what happened with the machine..
Client called that light copy and a shadow on one side.

So when i check and print pg test 10 i got this.

I replace magenta coz i taught only drum problem but its the same.
The first one is before i change drum
And the 2nd one is after i change drum

Twice i calibrate with full adjust and twice with quick.. still same problem and there are still gap between magenta and black.

    Thank you.

Looks like either the magenta drum or dev is not sitting correctly. I would take both out and put back in.

Agreed. Had the same issue with the pg10 looking similar to yours on a machine similar to that and the drum wasn't sitting correctly. Took it out, put it back in, and it squared right up.

In my scenario last week someone tightened developer with wrong type screw. There is pic ,something similiar (I don't know name of this screw, see atach).Devloper must move left /right when You installing/reinstalling drum.

After that inspect patch sensor(clean it) and inspect patch sensor shutter and solenoid.Sometimes shutter my be stuck.

At the end perform Auto correct color mismatch.

Found the problem with the light copy on one side.. its the laser itself.. too much humidity on it. My problem now is the gap between black and magenta.. brought new unit but still same problem
