    IR5075 tray 1 &2 problem

I have a IR5075 that tray 1 &amp; 2 aren't recognized as if they are not even there. It doesn't say load paper or the flash as being empty and the trays are coming to the top. Both had paper behind the trays which I thought would be an easy fix but not the case. I can't even find a service manual online or even on Canon's service site. I re-seated the connectors on the DC Controller but did not fix it. Any ideas? <br>Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try updating the SSW this may bring them back online.

The trays do say LTR. What I don't understand is why both trays are doing it and is it possible that having paper stuck behind both cause the DC Contoller to go bad? I will try to install new system software.

Ok, so what exactly is the fault? Both trays show LTR both are lifing, so are you saying both show “load paper” is this the fault?

I would double check behind the paper drawers to make sure there’s no other paper stuck in either the lifters or the connectors. I assume you powered the machine of and on because if there is a lifting problem the trays will lock out until reboot

    Re: IR5075 tray 1 &2 problem

Went back today and installed new system software and no luck. I wrote down what is happening.
In Auto paper select tray 1&2 the "U" shape symbol as empty and not flashing load paper.
Select tray 1 with paper loaded the "U" symbol flashes but does not say add paper and the tray lifted all the way up.
Select tray 2 without paper and the "U" symbol flashes and says load paper.
Is this description clearer than my original description? It just won't let me copy or print from tray 1&2.
Anyone know what connector on the DC controller tray 1&2 connect to? Is there a connector board behind the waste container plate or do the wires go directly to the DC controller?
