Re: Canon IR2270 - first copy jamming

Has the lower door been modified as previously mentioned (door shown in your picture) if so it will have a leaf spring in the middle of the black paper guide the door shuts onto. the original un modified door will have black sticky foam strip across the top of the door and no leaf spring on the paper guide. jams due to uneven or not enough pressure on door assembly. used to be a common problem from memory worth checking out.

Try to find something to exert pressure on the lower door, the one with the yellow label on it, a box pf paper maybe. If this fixes the jamming these new parts will do the job.
Your door is not the updated one, the door and improved paper guide looks like this, these parts are designed to be used together

FM3-1297-000 Right Lower Inner Door Assembly

    FM3-1296-000 Lower Right Door Assembly

When you think you have made a procedure idiot proof your company employs a better idiot.

Agree with the previous post . you have the old door and guide. almost certainly that is the issue. not getting enough pressure on the paper feed rollers.

Try applying some pressure by hand to that door. If that works, you will need the door updates. You should have it done anyway because it helps resolve some of the jamming problems. With a little luck, they're still available. I've driven a tapping screw into the hole in the middle of the black guide as a temporary measure. It applies pressure against the vertical rollers.
