Canon IRAC 5051 copy quailty just goes light in middle of printjob

I have a Canon IRAC5051 that changes to a lighter print in the middle of a print job. All colors fade out at the the same rate. pq10 shows good quality each print.
they printed 20 copies of a 5 page 2 sided document and everything was fine until approx 14 copies in and then it happened. attached photos of this test

not sure how to test as it happens and then the next job is good so it resets.

any help is appreciated

so what have you done to it?

what are the life counts on PM parts?

have you tried cleaning the slit glass(es)?

does it show any errors?

genuine OEM toner/drums?

1. For this issue i have verified the issue then scratched my head on just how to troubleshoot. all of my testing the qc looks normal

2. need to check life of pm parts when i am back onsite. last thing put in was a fuser 9 months ago due to a loud squeak.

3. I did not clean any slit glass as it prints normal some of the time so i assumed that it is not a dirty glass blocking laser.

4. no errors on copier. when in the test it did however slow down for just a bit around the time it started to fade.

Could be your patch sensors are dirty, so machine is not adding toner in time or the machine is not running gradation/calibration during a run.

Good point the patch sensor shutter also breaks.

Thanks for the advice so far!

Was on site a few days ago.

I cleaned the patch sensors and it passed the test we threw at it. however like all calls that are 2 hrs away as i walked into the shop they called again to say that it did the same thing.
I went back out and went heavy into the secondary transfer roller assembly i found one of the white transfer roller holders was cracked up by where the bearing goes in and was split where it went down by the roller. Of coarse i did not have one but will replace it soon and test.
This make sense that this could cause this issue. will post with results asap.

At a loss have tried so many things.
I swapped out the ITB assembly with known good one ran itb int still did the same thing.
Swapped out known good 2nd transfer unit on door. Same issue
Swapped out patch sensors front and back same issue
swapped out patch timing sensor in middle inserted code off of board same issue.

had a change in results when I replaced all 3 color drums. It was good for approx 200 pages then now it errors lite on a run for a bit then gets better.
also it can be lite on one side of a double sided run but good on the other side of the same page.

what else would you try??

Are they using genuine Canon toner?

I would still suspect an issue with secondary transfer or HVT failing. If I remember, the only thing to change when duplexing is the charge for second side transfer. Is the secondary transfer assembly making good contact when the door is closed?
