FIRMWARE is copywritten software for a non certified tech to possess it is illegal ... some may help you out but the run the risk of losing their tech ID's and the company could lose it's license to sell or service ANY Canon equipment
do you not have a Canon dealer in your area?
Also this is canon machine itself. OEM HDD firmware already installed by canon themselves. All i would be doing is registering firmware i.e. creating certificate. Which wont be copyrighr issue at all. Also i am otherwise lawyer by profession and won't indulge into reselling firmware. This is for my personal use. I can guarantee that and take full responsibility for legality of my acts.
