Likes: After leaving it alone for a couple of weeks. I finally got an error code. This explains the slow boots and can't scan to hdd. Any help in the right direction would be good. Right now I am aiming to call a tech and program a new HDDE602-0001

Try update firmware on existing hdd. You can't just go out and buy any hdd for Canon copiers has to made for your model unless you can get a cloned one

You won't get into service mode with dead HDD. As mentioned, you need a Canon HDD(NWRS or Hytec are authorized and cheaper than direct from Canon). Sorry, I can't supply copy of firmware(I value my career with Canon....lol)If you can help, I am sure we can come to an agreement. $

Check with NWRS, FK4-1550 is part number. Not sure, maybe get it loaded with firmware. 3rd editions(irac 5535III, etc) have a copy of firmware on main con so machine can boot and be flashed through CDS UpdaterCanon won't get mad, we are doing this remote thing because of health issues (corona)...jkjk
