1/2 inch black/grey band across the copy even when in single color mode such as all yellow copy and even with blank sheet of paper on glass. Has new black drum. I just can see how its the transfer belt when im not asking for black at all.

It does it on test print page and also does it with a blank sheet of paper on the glass. This site wont let me upload another sample. Not sure why. You can make a single color all yellow copy and it will still put that black/grey band across the copy. It will even put the grey stripe on your copy with the black laser blocked off.
The sample you show looks like the shading correction adjustment sheet. Did you try doing a shading correction before this issue started ?
So the next thing to determine is, what color is it really? K: black or composite black? If its K: black, I'd look at black imaging components. BUT, I suspect that it's composite black, which means that the primary transfer belt is probably not cleaning. You should be able to pull the primary transfer belt at any time and see the residue on the belt. =^..^=
