    Irc5550 rotation

Hey all, I have a fairly new client with a 5550. Is there a fix to stop the machine from auto rotating when they are doing non-standard originals off the glass. Their main issue is when copying some checks… no matter which way they turn it it rotated the other way and cut it off. I’ve seen this before on different models but this is a bigger issue for them. I mean I’m sure I could turn off auto rotation but that needs to stay on if possible. Trying to think if there’s a way I can set up a button for copying checks that will make it stay a certain direction for that job. Thanks!

You could do that or program a LTR size in Mode Memory.

Thanks, but, even if I choose letter tray, that doesn’t affect the rotation. The machine is reading the size incorrectly because it’s confused. One time I wish there were more sensors. Now…. If you could program “original” size, that would work. :/

Try to set up the device in this way:
FUNCTION SETTINGS>COMMON>SCAN SETTINGS>AUTO SET DIFFERENT SIZE ORIGINAL WHEN USING FEEDER
    both settings to ON

thanks. Will try that. So will that help with turning the wrong way off of the glass? Feeder does fine.

I think turning off auto rotation solves this, found somewhere in user settings.

Hi....the upkeep sign implies that the copier should be very much overhauled and checked if something is to be supplanted. Consumables like drum, sharp edge, fuser rollers, and designer are changed at such critical points in time. On the off chance that you are certain that you have supplanted the right part or nothing is to be supplanted, then, at that point you can continue to clear the sign.
