Tray 1 not lifting Canon iradvc 3525

Hi GUYS
i HAVE A canon iradvc 3525 where tray 1 does not lift and theres no error code.
Tray 2 is ok
The cassette shuts ok and knows its A4 it actuates the little white lever at the back and the paper detect sensor drops down and the sep roller pushes up into position so everything is mechanically happening.
The paper lift motor doesnt lift so it shows paper empty but theres no error code.
The paper lift motor assy consists of 2 motors and 4 sensors for trays 1 and 2
I had to pull out today as the customer was closing early Im due to go back on Monday would be grateful for ideas and thoughts before I go stripping the paper lift assy down
