    iradvDX 6755I - E280-002 & E732-0023

    Hi,

Went to this machine after another tech was on site originally. He had a E280-002 and ordered a reader controller PCB. When he replaced it, he then got the E732-0023. I visited the site today, just a couple of things, all the reader settings ie X & Y , CCD etc were all at 0, so I put all the settings in from the reader service label. Replaced the HDMI Cable from the RCnt to the Main controller pcb2, but still the E732. I swapped the DADF from one machine to another to check ribbon cables etc, but E732 still persists. If i turn the DADF off in service mode, the machine can operate as a printer, so I am thinking that the Main PCB1 is working fine? I updated the firmware, but switching the DADF back on, E732 comes back. I suspect the MCont 2 pcb, but has anyone seen this before?

    regards

Usually E280 is a flat scanner cable. But since you also have an E732 I suspect main controller1.

well, the mystery deepens. Returned to site with a Main controller pcb 1 and 2. Replaced pcb2 first as its the i/f for the reader controller. Still same issue. Replaced main controller 1 and still the same. I have the correct voltage of 24v to the reader controller. I spoke to Canon UK and they said they have never come across this error in the whole of Europe on this model! But says its a reader issue. So no idea what would have caused this, its now with the Remedy team, will keep you posted.

@Munstertech did you ever get any resolve on this issue?
I have the same problem but it's on the previous generation iR Adv 6555i. Seem to think it's an environment issue. Was there about 2 months ago and reseated connectors on DC CONT PCB as well as on DADF and removed all the dust. It then worked after I powered it on.

The issue is back now, just wondering if you had any joy with Remedy

    Thanks B

    E280-002 :Check cable
    E732-0023: Check maincontroller

As you said, already replaced main controller 1 & 2 , So i think problem are Reader PCB or DADF PCB
