I have a 6055 with saddle Finisher E1 and punch unit. Customer did some server updates and asked me to update the firmware. Everything went smooth except there was a timeout error when it was updating the finisher. After reboot I got an E503-0002 code. Reflashed. Same thing. Code has to do with saddle stitch unit. In service mode/display/version, there's no version number for saddle stitch. DC Con, MN Con etc all updated as they should. Was told I should replace Saddle stitch controller which I have on order. Wondering if anyone else has ad this problem. I disconnected the saddle unit from the finisher controller so machine works but without the booklet maker. TIA

Via CDS you can choose which firmware you will install. Also the oldest. I would try to return the older firmware.

I have the controller coming in so I’ll probably try that. They told me their new server does not support SMB1 which is why they requested an upgrade

if you need smb 2/3 then special firmware needs to be installed. Once it has Special firmware, you can never update firmware otherwise it will revert back to smb 1. Other solution is scan to ftp. or scan with smb 1 to a workstation.

I updated the latest firmware. Putting controller in the next couple of days. Will post.
