      We have about a dozen of them in the field

            Good afternoon everybody !
            I currently have only one Canon V 1000 installed.
            Previously the customer had an iPR C 910.
            Here are the problems encountered:
            during a long print run, I have a noticeable color change between the first print and the last print;
            the life of the consumables is much lower than that declared by the company (I had to replace the 3 color drums at 57% of their life, the fixing belt at 69% of its life just to name a few);

            Furthermore, despite the new color drums, light and dark bands are noticeable on the coated paper with low color densities...

            The old Canon 7000 VP was better !

              Hi,

              An upgraded type of drum is coming to the market, which should be much better.
              The latest firmware should fix some issues.
              The fuser unit is very sensitive...

                Hi!

                Common error E014-002 even though the parts of the fuser unit are only at 20%. The latest firmware is supposed to solve this, but it doesn't help.
                Anyone having the same problem?

                    Hello everyone! I would like to get some information on the print quality of the V1000 from someone who uses this machine. And I would also like information about the operational problems of the machine. We currently have an old HP indigo machine that is more than 10 years old. We would like to replace it because it has expensive printing costs and is difficult to operate. We did a lot of test printing and the quality of the prints is good. But we see that the printing is noisy in color transitions and homogeneous areas. We did not experience this on the larger V1350 machine. Does anyone have experience?

                      Good evening !
                      Regarding the Canon V 1000 I can share these experiences:
                      the color drums last much less than what the manufacturer says (I recently had to replace them with just 36% of the work done).
                      I replace the intermediate transfer belt on average around 80% of its life.
                      The belt of the fixing unit reaches 50% of its life (dark lines on prints made on coated paper).
                      It has a high toner consumption (before I had a Canon iPR C 910 in its place which didn't "eat" all this toner).
                      I always replace the air filters when they are at 50% of their life due to high toner clogging!
                      And finally, during long print runs the machine changes color...

                        Thank you for the information! Consumable material consumption is not relevant to me because I would be in a click contract. At Hp, the consumption was calculated with 25% coverage, but in real life it was between 75-100% on average. Color variation is a bigger problem for me. Do you have a sensing unit in the configuration? Is the print quality good for extended use? The test prints showed me that the print was grainy. But otherwise it is printed in a nice quality. But I don't know if this quality will be good even after several months of use.

                          Hi

                          Do you have any E14 in error history?

                            I don't have such an error message, because we haven't bought this machine yet. I can't decide whether to buy the V1000 or the V1350. The V1350 is much more expensive and I don't know if it's worth it.

                              On Friday, in addition to the 1000, we assembled another 1350. I'll let you know the result.😁
