    Canon iRA C5540 no display

    hello everywon

when this machine is turned on, the engine runs up normally, scanner and ADF initialise normally, fans operate, main power and power save are lit but no display

checked 5v 12v and 24v all good - main controller PCB has no LEDs lit and the ethernet connector has no lights flashing when plugged into network - riser PCB has one LED lit

i suspect main controller PCB! anyone seen this before to confirm?

    thanks in advance

Confirm, in over 90% of cases the reason is the main controller.
I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water.

Cool Re: Canon iRA C5540 no display

Your fault is due to protection caused by incorrect motherboard data.

    The solution is as follows:

Short circuit the JP1 and JP2 pins on the motherboard with tweezers to attempt data recovery.

Method 1: Short circuit JP1: The host will automatically power off. Note that the red LED on the motherboard will flash for 2 seconds before switching to the green light. Remove the tweezers, shut down the machine normally, and restart to see if it can recover normally.

Method 2: Short circuit the JP2 host and restart it. Pay attention to the LED display of the machine. When the LED shows a green light, shut down and wait for 1 minute before turning on the machine to see if it can be restored.
