The "Insert Drum" message stayed on, after replacing the drum unit. An "All Clear" was performed with no change in the symptom.
Solution :
In this case, the high voltage contact to the drum unit was cleaned and the message went away.

if that cleaning does'nt work>
check the ribbon cable between the DC Controller and the HVT PCB

Tried the above tips, no luck unfortunately... Performed a clear-all with no succes. Sometimes machine starts up without the above message, but than when copying, the paper jams at the position of the drum/transfer-roller. The joint that drives the drum seems to rotate, but the drum does not... It looks like the drum does not couple firmly enough with the main-drive ass'y. Ordered a main-drive ass'y today. Any more sugestions???
Make sure u have the correct wall voltage & check your outlet for proper Ground to Neutral reading=0v>0.5v is ok
What did the ribbon cable between the DC Controller and the HVT PCB look like > did u remove it to inspect ?
what are the Jam codes or error codes ????
main drive failure has an Error code

Only 'error' code I saw was 'replace drumcartridge' I did not check the jamcode Could it be that drumcartridge is not recognised because it is not rotating???
Check the ERROR LOG & JAM LOGS
never rely on a machine message
