    Imageclass D660 Exit Sensor

    Hello all,
I have a customer that brought in their Canon Imageclass D660 and claims that the machine stoped working after they cleared a jam where the paper exits the fuser unit. They said they also found some extra part while clearing the jam. Long story short, they ripped the sensor flag for the fuser exit sensor when they were pulling paper out with a pair of pliers.

I have the new sensor flag and spring to install, but I can't seem to get the flag to sit in position correctly. Do I have to remove the fuser unit from the machine to reseat the sensor flag, or can I seat it correctly while leaving the machine intact?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

to remove the fuser assy. To do so, you have to take the plastic pieces above, below and at either side off. There's a sheet of thin plastic covering the electronics. Pull it back and tape it down to get it out of the way. There are 2 connectors going to the board. Pull them off. You'll need a stubby Phillips or an offset screwdriver to remove the screws holding the fuser.
