[Error Code] E000003-0002 irc3380i ?

Hi my first post here,

Ok so got an irc3380i which wasnt booting up then had error code E000990-000 so I adjusted the gear to free ps12 and that error code is gone now.

However, the machine booted up and went to the copy screen but then came up with error e000003-0002. Anyone know what this is / how to resolve? Appreciate any advice ... Btw thanks to teckat for previous posts on how to fix e000990-0000.

Clear the error code in service mode

SERVICE MODE
press Additional Functions Key (once)
press #2 & 8 key at the same time (release both)
then press Additional Functions Key again (release it)
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR
ERR Clears error codes.
(Cleared error codes: E000, E001, E002, E003)
Operation method
1) Select this item, and press the OK key.
2) Turn the main power OFF/ON

E003 with a sub code of 0002, which indicates that the machine detected an abnormally low temperature when the fixing heater is turned on.

Check the temperature in service mode and see if the readings for the sub thermistors under Display for FIX-E and FIX-E2 would bounce back an forth between 0 and 36 degrees repeatedly.

NOTE:
Before replacing such things as, the entire Fixing unit, the DC Driver PCB, AC Driver PCB, and DCON; check SW3 and it's right door actuator.
In some cases SW3 has been found to also cause E003-0002 codes (also sub code 0000).
SW3 is the Fixing unit's AC interlock switch. Sometimes the right door actuator will be bent and not fully press SW3 when the right door is closed. SW3 is a button switch located right above some of the Fixing unit's rear frame connections.
SW3 has been found to show signs of wear and have carbon build up inside it. If the right door actuator is straight and making good contact , inspect SW3 and it's AC connections. If any flaws are found after inspecting SW3, replace it. SW3's part number is, FM2-9427-000.

If the fixing unit is not turning; fixing end thermistors, TH2 and TH3, will not heat up properly causing an E003 0001 to occur. This can be caused by the one way gear in the fixing drive assembly slipping, (ie: the fixing drive motor is turning but the fixing unit is not being driven). (See pic below for location and part number).



In many cases this error code was observed because the right door lower hinges break (crack). The right door will tilt slightly and not allow the actuator to activate SW3 properly, hence causing E003 error codes.

Clear the error code in service mode, and cheat SW3 and power cycle the printer to verify if the position of the right door is the cause for this error code. Upon successful verification, the replacement of either right door hinges would be necessary to resolve the error code.

Ok, I think I have got it to work (well boot up at least and make some copies!) by 'cheating SW3' ... I think I should investigate further and look to a more permanent solution though.
