[Jamming] Canon ir2018

Greetings to you all and God Bless.
1. I am having a serious paper jam with my Canon IR2018. that is it photocopy normally but, after every copy there is paper jam of which no paper is inside anywhere jamming.
2. There is another Canon IR2018 that is having Constance paper jam in the fuser film unit.
I will need help from the experts. Thanks!

Display shows paper jam with no paper found in the imageRUNNER.
Check the flag for SR6 /make sure it is not out of position. You can see the flag by removing the cassette.



Post the Jam Codes

Jam Log is included in the Error Log. To print out a JAM/ERR Log do the following steps:

Access Service mode * 2 then 8 *
Scroll until you see "Reports" hit OK
Scroll until you see "Output" hit OK
Scroll until you see "Error Log List" hit OK

The electro-mechanical feed clutch on these are cheap. The white plastic wears and leaves a white powder inside on the clutch plates. Remove,disassemble, then clean with isopropyl alcohol. It comes out very easy at right rear corner of machine when viewed from the back. Cleaned many myself. Same issue with 5570 document feeder clutch...PLASTIC.. The fuser issue on the other one...probably needs a new film assembly

the machine is jamming mr teckat how he can print that report on that stupid machine
after he solve the problem the machine will print and he will know the jam code

As a general rule, if the machine says there is a jam, but no paper found - the machine thinks it was feeding a different size paper. Check your tray settings.

Hello,

In this series, this kind of issue happens because of the registration clutch. Replace it.
FK2-5350-000000 CLUTCH, REGISTRATION CL203.
