    I'd still deploy 2012R2 on backup severs if you dont have a NAS. Anything above 2012R2 fcked how large quantities of files are moved

    Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are actually supported until October. I started thinking about this and thought: wait a minute, there's still a bit more life for the 2012's...

    what for realy? Sure, no official windows security updates anymore. But for backup storage, this should still work as fine. Not even having big security concerns here
